A former lode Au mine located in sec. 30, T3S, R16E, MDM, 1.9 km (6,200 feet) W of Hunter Valley Mountain (coordinates of record). Operated by P. W. Gallis (?). Claims unpatented in 1927. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters. One of several prospects in the vicinity of the Barrett, Castagnetto II, and Chemisal Mines. May be the same property once known as the Ferrari Mine.
Geology and occurrence of ore similar to that of the Barrett Mine. Local rocks include Mesozoic volcanic rocks, unit 2 (Western Sierra Foothills and Western Klamath Mountains).
Workings include underground openings.
