A former lode Au-Pb mine located in sec. 36, T3S, R16E, MDM, about 3 miles SW of Buckhorn Peak on the divide between Scotch Gulch and Flyaway Gulch, along the Merced River (Lake McClure (Exchequer Reservoir)) (6 miles SSE of Coulterville and 0.1 km (300 feet) SSE of the Bonanza King Mine). Property consisted of an unpatented claim. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters. Property is apparently inundated beneath Lake McClure.
Mineralization is a vein deposit with a 25 foot thick (about 7½ meters) hosted in serpentinite.
Workings include underground openings with an overall depth of 12.19 meters and comprised of a 100 foot adit and a 60 foot drift.
