A former lode Au mine located in the SW¼ (estimated) sec. 2, T5S, R24E, MDM, 5.2 km (3.2 miles) ESE of Madera Peak, on the divide between Jackass Creek and Norris Creek (1 mile ESE of Norris Lake on the SE slope of Madera Peak), on National Forest land. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 10 meters.
Mineralization is a vein deposit with a vein a few inches thick. The ore body dips 60SE. Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).
Workings include surface and underground openings comprised of a 40 foot shaft and a 100 foot adit plus open cuts.
