A former placer Au mine located in T8S, R18E, MDM, 6.0 km (3.7 miles) WNW of Raymond, along the Chowchilla River (Eastman Lake), on National Forest National Recreation Area (Eastman Lake) land. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 10,000 meters. This locality is now inundated beneath the lake.

NOTE: This locality is evident on the topo map despite its inundated status. The entire lake, including the channel of the Chowchilla River, is shaded; however, the dredged area is stippled in addition.

Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).
