A former Au-Cu-Pb occurrence/mine located 4.5 km (2.8 miles) NW of Rough and Ready, W of Kentucky Ravine, E of Pleasant Valley and NE of Lake Wildwood (1.5 miles W of Nevada City). MRDS database accuracy for this location is not stated. NOTE: The USGS MRDS database file places this mine in the Nevada City District. In fact it is located beyond Rough and Ready from Nevada City.
Mineralization is hosted in slate. Associated rocks include granite. Local rocks include Mesozoic gabbroic rocks, unit 2 (undivided).
