A former lode Au mine located in the SE¼SE¼NW¼ (estimated) sec. 15, T7S, R20E, MDM, 0.1 km (200 feet) SSE of grub Gulch (coordinates of record) and 0.7 km (2,300 feet) SW of Indian Hill (coordinates of record) (in Grub Gulch on the SW flank of Indian Hill). Discontinuously operated from 1880 to 1904. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.
Mineralization is a vein deposit with a vein averaging 2.5 feet wide, hosted in slate. The ore body strikes N45E and dips 78SE. The schist strikes N50W and dips 40NE, parallel to the contact with granite. Granite is an associaetd rock. Local rocks include pre-Cenozoic metasedimentary and metavolcanic rocks undivided.
Workings include underground openings with an overall depth of 121.92 meters and comprised of a 170 foot incline, 410 feet of drifts, crosscuts and several raises. For further data see the diagram in McLaughlin & Bradlwy (1914): 543.
