A placer Au occurrence/claim located in the center SW¼ sec. 3, T28N, R16E, MDM, 3.0 km (9,900 feet; 1.9 miles) ENE of Amedee Hot Springs, western Amedee Mountains, on Bureau of Land Management administered designated wilderness land (Skedaddle Wilderness Study Area). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 10 meters.

NOTE: The name provided "Wendle placer," is a spelling error for Wendel, the nearby town.

Local rocks include Tertiary volcanic flow rocks, unit 17 (Cascade Range).
