A Au occurrence located in the NE¼NW¼NW¼ sec. 19, T29N, R12E, MDM, 5.4 km (3.3 miles) NNE of Diamond Mountain, E of Hills Creek, W of Lassen Creek. Operated by S. D. Ridenour. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 100 meters.
The gangue is an ochre-stained, sugary quartz containing some drusy vugs and cavities. The gold could not be seen in the rock and no sulfides were reported. Several other gold-bearing veins are reported in the SW¼NW¼ of the section. Local rocks and geologic formations include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges) and/or Quaternary alluvium and marine deposits.
Workings include a 110 foot deep, two-compartment shaft with 70 to 80 feet of drift S and 10 feet N on the 100 foot level.
The only production reported was abiout 200 ounces of amalgam from the rock taken only from the development workings.
