A former placer & lode Au occurrence/mine located in the NW¼SW¼ sec. 19, T29N, R12E, MDM, 5.4 km (3.3 miles) NNE of Diamond Mountain, E of Gold Run Creek. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.
Mineralization is a small vein and shear zone which strikes in a N35E direction. Extensive placer mining has been done in the past on recent gravels which are reworked portions of old channel gravels.
Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).
Workings include several surface cuts.
