A Au occurrence/group of claims located in the S½SW¼SW¼SE¼ sec. 24, T29N, R11E, MDM, 4.6 km (2.8 miles) N of Diamond Mountain, on the divide between Gold Run Creek and Hills Creek (E of Gold Run Creek). The property is comprised of 5 claims. Owned by Frank Schmidig (1947), who was working alone on the claims. Operated by C. F. Gayman and the estate of J. B. Spaulding. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.
Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).
Workings include surface abnd underground openings comprised of many tunnels, cross-cuts, drifts, and surface cuts.
Nothing is known of the value of ore produced from these workings. Several hundred dollars (period values) in free gold was reported to have been recovered from surface cuts on one claim.
