A former stone (crushed/broken - dimension) deposit/quarry located in sec. 31, T30N, R12E, MDM, 1.7 km (1.1 miles; 5,600 feet) W of Susanville city limit, along the S side of the Susan River. Operated by Mrs. Gladys Burroughs and Mrs. Ivy Raker. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters. The gymnasium of the high school and the court house at Susanville were faced with this stone.
Mineralization is rhyolitic tuff. Local rocks include Quaternary volcanic flow rocks, unit 1 (Cascade Volcanic Field).
Workings include surface openings comprised of a quarry operation.
