A Hg occurrence located in sec. 5 (and 6, 17 & 20), T12N, R5W, MDM, about 4¾ miles E of Lower Lake, on designated wlderness land (Rocky Creek/Cache Creek Wilderness Study Area). Original record had no coordinates, so this was plotted to the middle of the state/county area, per MRDS. NOTE: MRDS database stated accuracy for this locality is 1,000 meters.

Mineralization is associated with ultramafic rocks, chiefly Mesozoic, unit 3 (Coast Ranges and Western Klamath Mountains) and/or rocks of the Franciscan Complex, unit 1 (Coast Ranges). NOTE: The 2 MRDS files provide seemingly contradictory data regarding associated rocks.
