A magnesite occurrence located in the NE¼NE¼ sec. 29, T23S, R16E, MDM, 1.2 km (0.8 mile) SE of Table Mountain (coordinates of record), straddling the Monterey County line. Property owned by the Southern Pacific Co. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.
Mineralization is magnesite float and outcrops in seerpentinite. Local rocks include ultramafic rocks, chiefly Mesozoic, unit 3 (Coast Ranges and Western Klamath Mountains)
This deposit extends into Monterey County.
Shows little promise.
