A former lode Au occurrence/mine located in sec. 18, T29S, R34E, MDM, 4.7 km (2.9 miles) SSE of Piute Peak and about 8.3 km E of Johns Peak, E of Rancheria Creek (Loco Bill Canyon), on National Forest land. The property comprises 60 acres. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.
Mineralization is a vein deposit hosted in granite. Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).
Workings include underground openings with a length of 243.84 meters and comprised of a 600 foot adit with 200 feet of drifts.
High-grade, free-milling ore.
