A W occurrence/mine located in E central sec. 20, T27S, R35E, MDM, 2.6 km (1.6 miles) SSE of Nicolls Peak (coordinates of record), 2.6 km (1.6 miles) ENE of Heald Peak (coordinates of record), and 7.3 km (4.6 miles) S of Weldon, on Bureau of Land Management wilderness land (Kiavah Wilderness). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.

Mineralization is hosted in schist and hornfels. The ore body is irregular to lenticular in form. The roof pendant is composed of dark mica schist, layered hornfels and tactite and is 200 feet long and 100 feet wide. It is bordered by a "shell" of hornblende gabbro, then enclosed by quartz monzonite. Associated rocks include hornblendite. Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).

Workings include surface and underground openings with an overall depth of 4.57 meters. An adit was driven S30E for approximately 100 feet. Two open cuts are 15 feet each. One open cut is 10 feet deep, the other 15 feet deep.

Production data are found in: Troxel and Morton (1962).

Analytical data results: Probably less than 1% WO3.

No ore was produced by 1958.
