A former lode Au occurrence/mine located in sec. 3, T29S, R40E, MDM, 1.5 km (0.9 mile) S of Randsburg. Owned by E. B. Mcginnis and J. T. Oleary, Randsburg, California. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters. Adjoins the Yellow Aster on the W.

NOTE: The geographic coordinates presented in the only USGS MRDS database place this mine in sec. 2, to the E of the Yellow Aster. The MRDS file states that it is in sec. 3 and adjoins the Yellow Aster on the W. The coordinates presented are therefore in error, but perhaps within the limits of the degree of accuracy stated.

Mineralization is hosted in schist and rhyolite. Stringer lead/large, low-grade ore body. Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).

Workings include underground openings comprised of 3 short tunnels and shallow shafts. Only the high-grade streaks were worked.

Ore was shipped to the Red Dog custom mill.
