A Cu prospect located in the approximate center of sec. 31, T28S, R39E, MDM, 2.1 km (1.3 miles) SSE of Black Mountain (coordinates of record) (13¼ miles NE of Cantil). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 100 meters. No other information is available.
Mineralization is hosted in chert. Deposit is a 6 inch (15 cm) wide copper-stained quartz vein in a N-trending shear zone. Controls for ore emplacement included a shear zone. Local rocks include Tertiary nonmarine rocks, undivided.
Workings include underground openings with a length of 53.34 meters and an overall depth of 22.86 meters and comprised of a vertical shaft 60 to 75 feet deep on the N-trending shear. 150 feet to the E is a crosscut trending S35W for 75 to 100 feet long.
