A former W-Au occurrence/mine located in the SE¼ sec. 1, T30S, R40E, MDM, about 3.3 km (2 miles) SE of Randsburg, on private (patented) land. The property is comprised of a patented claim. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 10 meters. Most of the development went toward a search for rich Ag-bearing veins.
Mineralization is hosted in schist. The ore body is irregular, strikes NNE and dips steeply ESE in bluish-gray, siliceous schist. Local rocks include Precambrian rocks, undivided, unit 2 (Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).
Workings include surface and underground openings with an overall depth of 121.92 meters and comprised of a 400 foot shaft with 1,735 feet of horizontal workings on 3 levels, plus some surface cuts.
Production data are found in: Troxel, Bennie Wyatt & P.K. Morton (1962).
Scheelite production is undetermined but probably was only a few units from small, irregular workings on surface NW from the shaft collar.
