A W occurrence located in the NE¼SE¼ sec. 24, T30S, R40E, MDM, 2.5 km (1.5 miles) W of Atolia (San Bernardino County) (4½ miles SSE of Randsburg). Discovered in 1956. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 100 meters.

Mineralization is hosted in quartz monzonite. The ore body is lenticular in form, strikes NNE and dips 60-85NW. Controls for ore emplacement included faults. The deposit consists of discontinuous lenses and veinlets within the vein. The ore shoots pitch E. The lenses range from a fraction of an inch to 4 inches (10 cm). Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges) and/or Quaternary alluvium and marine deposits.

Local geologic structures include a fault zone that trends E-NE and dips 60-85NW.

Workings include surface and underground openings with a length 219.46 meters and are comprised of a 125 foot shaft inclined about 80 degrees N10W, that contains 3 drifts at 50, 70 and 125 foot levels. The 50 foot level drift extends for 115 feet. The 70 foot level drift extends for 190 feet and the 125 foot level drift extends for 170 feet. There is also an open pit.
