Aquaduct Road area occurrence, Cinco
A quartz-feldspar occurrence located in the N½ NW¼ sec. 31, T30S, R37E, MDM, in Water Canyon, 4.6 km (2.9 miles) ENE of Chuckwalla Mountain and about 4 miles N of Cinco. Access is from Cinco on CA-14 then following Water Canyon Road.
Mineralization is hosted in a dike-like mass of granite porphyry.
Locality has abundant orthoclase crystals. Many are Carlsbad twins. Also, there are small, bipyramidal "beta" quartz crystals.
