A former lode Au occurrence/mine located in sec. 10 & 14, T30S, R40E, MDM, about 2.6 km SSE of Government Peak and about 3.5 km ENE of Sidney Peak (1 mile SW of the former Stringer). Owned by Bruce Purcell (1992). Operated by Brenna Resources (1992). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 10 meters.
NOTE: USGS MRDS database file #10285128 states that this mine is located in sec. 14 while file #10110710 states that it is located in sec. 10. The topo map reflects a string of mine shafts running NW to SE from the SE¼ sec. 10, through the NE¼NE¼ of sec. 15 and then into the NW¼ of sec. 14. This a relatively tight cluster.
Local rocks include Precambrian rocks, undivided, unit 2 (Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges) and/or schist of various types and ages, unit 2 (Southern and West-central California).
Workings include unspecified underground openings.
