A former W occurrence/mine located in secs. 10, 11, 14 & 15 (at common corner), T30S, R36E, MDM, 4.0 km (2.5 miles) W of Sugarloaf (summit), on the divide between Alphie Canyon on the E and Hoffman Canyon on the W, N of Jawbone Canyon, 1 mile N of Blue Point (summit). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.
Mineralization is hosted in granite rocks. The ore body is lenticular in form. The deposit occurs within brecciated and sericitized granitic rock. Small, separated lenses occur in a zone ½ mile long and ¼ mile wide. Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).
Workings include surface and underground openings comprised of small, open cuts, short shafts and trenches.
A few hundred pounds of ore-grade material were yielded.
