A former lode W-Au occurrence/mine located in the SE¼ sec. 35, T29S, R40E, MDM, 0.9 km (0.6 mile) SE of Randsburg, along Fiddler Gulch, on private (patented) land. Production years were 1956 & 1957. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.

Mineralization is a vein deposit hosted in schist. The ore body is irregular in form. The Au-bearing vein strikes N70W and dips 55SW. Scheelite occurs both as isolated grains and as lenses and veins 8 inches (20 cm) thick and a few feet long. The zone appears as a shoot 4 to 6 feet thick and about 30 feet long. It extends 150 feet downward from surface. Local rocks include Schist of various types and ages, unit 2 (Southern and West-central California).

Local geologic structures include a fault.

Workings include underground openings comprised of two 100 footy inclined shafts 60 feet apart, plus 80 feet of drifts on the 100 level and an underhand stope about 50 feet deep below the E shaft. The East shaft was enlarged in 1956 by raising ore from 100 foot level to surface.

Production data is found in: Troxel, Bennie Wyatt & P.K. Morton (1962).

Not credited with the production of Au but probably several tens of units of scheelite produced by lessees in 1956-1957.

Analytical data results: probably more than 1% WO3.
