A Au prospect located in the W½ (estimated) sec. 31, T14S, R36E, MDM, 8.9 km (5.5 miles) NNW of Lone Pine and 5.8 km (3.6 miles) W of Owenyo (Owens Valley), on the extreme northern end of the Alabama Hills, near Hogback Creek. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters. This mine was possibly incorporated into later development under different name(s).
Mineralization is a vein deposit with a 6 inch vein, hosted in granite. The ore body dips 30E at a thickness of 0.15 meter. Local rocks include Quaternary alluvium and marine deposits.
Workings include underground openings comprised of a 150 foot adit plus stopes.
