A Pb-Cu-Au-Ag occurrence located in T10S, R37E (?), MDM, in the general area of Marble Canyon and Jackass Flats. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 10,000 meters.
NOTE: There is confusion concerning the location of this occurrence. The pertinent USGS MRDS database file provides geographic context data placing this locality clearly in Fresno County, in a cluster with at least 3 other confused localities. The MAS MILS database assigned an Inyo County file number to this occurrence. The incomplete T&R data provided would also fall within Inyo County. sec. 15 (approximate center T10S, R37E, MDM), plots to the Jackass Flats area of Inyo County, with a longitude value of 117°55'17"W, versus the 118°55'17"W provided in the MRDS file for this locality. Correcting the longitude value brings the locality into the area indicated within Inyo County.
Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).
