A former Au-Pb-Ag-Zn mine located in the SW¼ (estimated) sec. 26, T17S, R43E, MDM, 5.8 km (3.6 miles) NE of Panamint Butte (coordinates of record), along a tributary of South Fork Lemoigne Canyon (4.9 miles NNW of Towne Pass on highway 190), on National Park Service wilderness land (Death Valley National Park/Death Valley Wilderness). Property was comprised of 12 unpatented claims). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.
Mineralization is a replacement deposit hosted in limestone. The ore body forms lenses. Controls for ore emplacement included joint planes. Local rocks include Cambrian marine rocks and/or Tertiary volcanic flow rocks, unit 16 (Northern Mojave Desert).
Workings include underground openings comprised of 2 adits and drifts totaling 300 feet, plus raises and winzes.
