A former placer Au mine/deposit located in secs. 11, 14 & 15, T10S, R36E, MDM, 3.7 km (2.3 miles) N of Wünüpü Peak (coordinates of record), along Marble Canyon, on National Forest land. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.
A 39.5 ounce nugget was found (1945). Local rocks include Cambrian marine rocks.
