A Pb-Cu-Ag-Au occurrence located in T24N, R3E, SBM, about 2.9 km (1.8 miles) ENE of Furnace, on National Park Service wilderness land (Death Valley National Park/Death Valley Wilderness). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 10,000 meters (sic). The exact location of this occurrence is obviously in doubt. The coordinates provided in the USGS MRDS file place it in Greenwater Valley; however, due to the uncertainty, it might lie in either of the two enclosing mountain ranges.
Local rocks include Quaternary alluvium and marine deposits.
