A W occurrence located in secs. 20 & 21, T15S, R41E, MDM, 5.4 km (3.4 miles) NE of Big Dodd Spring, on the SW margin of Ulida Flat (S of the Race Track, NE of Keeler, 5 miles W of Goldbelt Springs), on National Park Service wilderness land (Death Valley National Park/Death Valley Wilderness). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.
Alvord Group--tungsten claims five miles west of. Goldbelt Spring. Located by William Elliot and Ray and Ross Spear of Lone Pine in 1916. No production and little development.Greene, 1981
Mineralization is hosted in limestone and granite. The ore body is a ledge 10 feet wide and 300 feet long. Local rocks include Devonian marine rocks, unit 1 (Death Valley).
