A placer Au occurrence located in secs. 10, 14, 15 & 24, T10N, R10E, MDM, about 4.3 km SE of Cold Springs, ENE of Missouri Flat, SW of the El Dorado County fairgrounds, W of US highway 50, along Weber Creek. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.
NOTE: The proper name for the creek involved is Weber Creek; however, the name ascribed to this placer is Webber, as reflected in both USGS MRDS database files.
Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).
