A former Au occurrence/drift mine located in the SE¼ sec. 20, T10N, R12E, MDM, 0.8 km (0.5 mile) ESE of Newtown (on the N side ridge between Weber Creek and Pleasant Valley), on private land. Operated by Robert Patterson. Operated in the 1930's and early 1940's. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters. May be the mine working shown at this location on the USGS quadrangle Camino, California, topo map (1952).

Local rocks include Paleozoic marine rocks, undivided, unit 4 (Western Sierra Nevada)
and/or Tertiary pyroclastic and volcanic mudflow deposits, unit 9 (Cascade Range).

Workings include underground openings comprised of a 1,300 foot adit in volcanic ash, driven S in an attempt to reach the channel.
