A former placer Au occurrence/mine located in sec. 7, T11N, R10E, MDM, in the N½ sec. 18, 1.3 km (0.8 mile) NNE of Lotus and 1.9 km (1.2 miles) NW of Coloma, along the S bank of the South Fork American River. The property comprises 50 acres. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 100 meters. This locality is evident on the topo map as a large area of dredge tailings.
Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).
