A former lode Au occurrence/mine located in sec. 4, T9N, R13E, MDM, 2.9 km (1.8 miles) SE of Happy Valley and 3.1 km (2.0 miles) NNW of Grizzly Flat, on the E canyon wall of the North Fork Cosumnes River, SE of Little Butte and NNW of Sunday Ridge (5½ miles NNE of Omo Ranch), on National Forest land. MRDS database accuracy for this location is not stated.
Mineralization is a vein deposit. Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).
