A former placer Au occurrence/mine located in the NW¼SE¼ sec. 5, T12N, R9E, MDM, 1.2 km (0.8 mile) SW of Big Kennebeck Bar (coordinates of record) and about 4.35 km NNE of Cool, along the S bank of the Middle Fork American River. The property comprises 26.99 acres. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters. This locality is evident on the topo maps as a large area of dredge tailings.
