A former lode Au mine located in the SE¼ sec. 32 & in the SW¼ 33, T9N, R13E, MDM, 1.5 km (1.0 mile) ENE of Omo Ranch, on National Forest land. Operated during the periods 1890 to 1894 and 1908 to 1914. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 100 meters.
Mineralization is a vein deposit hosted in granite. The ore body strikes NE and dips SE. The vein is 2 to 3 feet thick and is rich in sulfides. Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).
Workings include underground openings comprised of 2 adits at 200 feet and 400 feet. A 5-stamp mill was erected.
