A former placer Au occurrence/mine located in the NE¼NW¼ sec. 30, T8N, R14E, MDM, 3.7 km (2.3 miles) WSW of Sawmill, N of the South Fork Cosumnes River and S of Farnham Ridge, on National Forest land. The property comprises 20 acres. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 100 meters.
Local rocks include Paleozoic marine rocks, undivided, unit 4 (Western Sierra Nevada) and/or Tertiary pyroclastic and volcanic mudflow deposits, unit 9 (Cascade Range).
Workings include surface openings comprised of an open pit (probably a drift mine).
