A former lode Au occurrence/mine located in sec. 36, T9N, R9E, MDM, 0.9 km (0.5 mile) NNW of Brandon Corner (3 miles NE of Latrobe). Operated in 1896. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 10,000 meters (sic). Could be in T8N.
Mineralization is a vein deposit. The ore body strikes N and dips W. The vein is 12 feet thick. Local rocks include ultramafic rocks, chiefly Mesozoic, unit 2 (Western Sierra Nevada and Klamath Mountains) and/or Mesozoic volcanic rocks, unit 2 (Western Sierra Foothills and Western Klamath Mountains).

A small amount of Au was produced in 1896.
