A former lode Au occurrence/mine located in the SW¼ sec. 11 & in the NW¼ sec. 14, T11N, R10E, MDM, 1.3 km (0.8 mile) NW of Kelsey, on the western slope of Gopher Hill, SSW of the Kelsey School, on private land. The property comprises 15 acres. Operated by Oviedo Le Bourreau. Long idle. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters. Pl. II, Logan (1938) indictaes that the claim may also include an area in sec. 11.
Mineralization is a vein deposit. Local rocks include Jurassic marine rocks, unit 1 (Western Sierra Nevada and Western Klamath Mountains).
