A former Cr occurrence/mine located in the SE¼ sec. 18, T13N, R11E, MDM, 0.6 km (0.4 mile) S of Volcanoville, on fee ownership land within a National Forest area. Operated by the Union Chrome Co. (1917). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.
Local rocks include Paleozoic marine rocks, undivided, unit 4 (Western Sierra Nevada).
Workings include surface openings comprised of an open cut at 75 feet long and 20 feet deep.
About 47 tons of 45% ore were produced in 1917.
