A reported placer Au occurrence located in sec. 9, T13N, R11E, MDM, about 2.8 km ENE of Volcanoville, on National Forest land. Operated by the Two Channel Mining Company until about 1908. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.
Local rocks include Tertiary pyroclastic and volcanic mudflow deposits, unit 9 (Cascade Range).
