A placer Au occurrence located in the SW¼ sec. 7, T12N, R11E, MDM, 3.7 km (2.3 miles) SE of Georgetown, along Rock Canyon, on National Forest land. Property was comprised of 184.77 acres. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters. May be doubtful but on Rock Canyon. Tunnel symbol on topo map is in the SW¼SW¼ (on boundary of sec. 18).
Local rocks include Paleozoic marine rocks, undivided, unit 4 (Western Sierra Nevada).
