A former lode Au occurrence/mine located in sec. 1, T11N, R10E, MDM, 1.5 km (0.9 mile) N of Spanish Flat, NE of American Flat and N of Spanish Hill (5½ miles NE of Coloma), on private land. Operated by Mary Witmer. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters. Folio 3 shows Au-quartz vein N of Spanish Flat .
Mineralization is a vein deposit. Local rocks include Jurassic marine rocks, unit 1 (Western Sierra Nevada and Western Klamath Mountains).
