A Mn occurrence located in the NW¼NE¼ sec. 13, T8N, R9E, MDM, 3.0 km (1.9 miles) ESE of Flonellis, at the S end of Hungry Hollow and White Man Ravine (2½ miles E of Latrobe), on private land. Operated by Robert D. Domecq, et al. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.
The ore body strikes N20E and dips 80E. Greenstone is stained with black manganese and iron oxides. The greenstone is enclosed in gray phyllite or sericite schist. It is cut by one quartz vein 3 to 4 inches thick. Local rocks include Mesozoic volcanic rocks, unit 2 (Western Sierra Foothills and Western Klamath Mountains) and/or ultramafic rocks, chiefly Mesozoic, unit 2 (Western Sierra Nevada and Klamath Mountains).
Workings include surface openings comprised of an open cut.
Analytical data results: The ore grade is less than 5% Mn.
