A former Au occurrence/mine located in the SE¼SW¼ sec. 26 and in sec. 35, T13N, R10E, MDM, about 4.3 km (about 2 miles) N of Georgetown, S of the Hornblende Mountains and N of Canyon Creek, just S of Bear Flat, on private land. Operated by William Barklage. Operated in 1894. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.
Mineralization is a vein seam deposit. Local rocks include Jurassic marine rocks, unit 1 (Western Sierra Nevada and Western Klamath Mountains).
Workings include underground openings with a length of 112.78 meters and comprised of a 130 foot and a 240 foot adit, with raises on seams. A 1-stamp mill was erected on site.
