A former lode Au-Ag-Cu occurrence/mine located in the S½S½ sec. 10, T11N, R8E, MDM, 1.8 km (1.1 miles) E of Goose Flat (coordinates of record), along Kelly Ravine (2 miles NE of Slur Tail Peak; 2 miles N of the Alabaster Cave Mine), on private (patented) land. Property comprises 560 acres of patented ground. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is .

NOTE (MRDS file): This is an old reference (Aubury) and subsequent publications do not refer to it other than one reference (Bulletin 144, p. 230), which includes it with others for the Kelly Mine, sec. 13, T11N, R10E, MDM, (which strictly a Au mine), apparently in error. If the location for the Alabaster Cave Mine (secs. 10 & 15) is correct, this may not be the correct location.

NOTE (Mindat editor): The Alabaster Cave Mine is a former Cu-Au-Ag mine located in secs. 10 & 15, T11N, R8E, MDM, 1.6 km (1.0 mile) E of Goose Flat (coordinates of record) (1 mile E of Rattlesnake Bridge), on federal land, placing it in proximity of the Kelley Brothers Mine, which is close to the boundary of the same 2 sections, not 2 miles S of it. The descriptions of the ore bodies are different and these 2 mines may be closely situated but are apparently different mines.

Mineralization is a vein deposit. The ore body is 12.19 meters thick. The main vein is 40 feet thick. Local rocks include Mesozoic volcanic rocks, unit 2 (Western Sierra Foothills and Western Klamath Mountains).

Workings include underground openings with a length of 609.6 meters and comprised of 2,000 feet of drifts and adits.

Analytical data results: on-ledge reports ore assays of 5% to 11% Cu.
