A former lode Au occurrence/mine located in the SW¼ sec. 2 & in the SE¼ sec. 3, T11N, R10E, MDM, about 3.35 km SSE of Garden Valley, along Big Sailor Creek near its confluence with Irish Creek (¾ mile W of Foster Mountain; 2½ miles NW of Kelsey). MRDS database accuracy for this location is not stated.
Mineralization is a vein deposit. Local rocks include Jurassic marine rocks, unit 1 (Western Sierra Nevada and Western Klamath Mountains).
