A former lode Au mine located in secs. 1 & 2, T9N, R10E, MDM, 2.2 km (1.4 miles) NNE of Logtown (site) and about 1.4 mile SSE of El Dorado, on the W side of Deadman Creek and W of Tombstone Mountain. Operated in 1931. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters. The tailings are in the NW¼NW¼ sec. 2.
Mineralization is a vein deposit. Local rocks include Mesozoic volcanic rocks, unit 2 (Western Sierra Foothills and Western Klamath Mountains).
Workings include underground openings.
Production data are found in: Clark, Wm. B. & D.W. Carlson (1956).
Production statistics: Year: 1931, accurate; 8,306 grams of Au.
700 tons of ore were mined that yielded $10,266 (period values) (1931).
