A former lode Au mine located in sec. 7, T12N, R10E, MDM, 1.0 km (0.6 mile) ENE of Greenwood, N of Georgetown Creek. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.
Mineralization is a vein deposit. The ore body strikes N40W and dips 55NE. Local rocks include Mesozoic volcanic rocks, unit 2 (Western Sierra Foothills and Western Klamath Mountains) and/or Jurassic marine rocks, unit 1 (Western Sierra Nevada and Western Klamath Mountains).
Workings include underground openings comprised of 60 foot drift adits.
