A former lode Au occurrence/claim/mine located in the SE¼ sec. 9, T9N, R13E, MDM, 1.5 km (1.0 mile) NW of Grizzly Flat, on the divide between Irish Gulch and Spring Canyon, on private land within a National Forest area. The claim is 20 acres. Operated by the Grizzly Flat Mining and Milling Co. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.
Mineralization is a vein deposit. Local rocks include Paleozoic marine rocks, undivided, unit 4 (Western Sierra Nevada) and/or Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).
