A Mn occurrence located in the SW¼NW¼ sec. 10, T12N, R10E, MDM, 1.4 km (0.9 mile/4,800 feet) W of Georgetown, along the Georgetown divide ditch. Discovered in 1942, on National Forest land. Owned by D. David, California (1974). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.

The ore body strikes N10E and dips 60E at a thickness of 0.61 meters and a width of 4.57 meters. Psilomelane and pyrolusite are mixed with limonite in stringers penetrating chert (recrystallized to very fine-grained chert to some extent. The stringers are usually not over ½ to 1 inch (1.25 to 2.5 cm) thick, and more or less run parallel to the bedding. The chert appears to be surrounded by sericite schist. Local rocks include Jurassic marine rocks, unit 1 (Western Sierra Nevada and Western Klamath Mountains).

Workings include surface openings comprised of open cuts.

Analytical data results: average grade is 5 to 10% Mn.
